MUSIC MINISTRY

Scripture:
"Oh Come, Let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout Joyfully to the Rock of our salvation." Psalm 95:1

Mission/Purpose

The main purpose for New Rising Sun Music Ministry is to sing praises to the name of Jesus. In using our God given talent we
offer praise through our singing and our worship.

The Music Ministry consist of the following choirs:

Sunshine Band - is opened to Elementary School grades. Their singing nurture Christ like characteristics and build positive self-esteem.

The Youth Fellowship - is opened to Middle/High School students. The program enhances a positive self-image Christ like character and peer interaction.

The Senior Choir - blends a unique form of choral musical style. These saints are dedicated to providing music for services.

The Soul Specials  - is an ensemble of singers who are committed to providing music during services and various community functions.

The Mass Choir - is a unique style of choral music for special services.

September 4th
Rev. Clarence Livas will deliver the message at 11:30am service.

September 10th
BBQ dinner at NRSBC 10am-3pm donation $7

September 9th
Terrebonne Parish Branch NAACP 29th Annual Freedom Fund Banquet
Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center 6:00 p.m.
Guest Speaker: Benjamin Todd Jealous, President and CEO of the NAACP
Banquet tickets are $60.00 per person.

September 11th
Brother Earl Ray Mitchell will be the speaker at 11:30am service.

September 18th
Annual Men Day Service 2:00pm
Rev. John Cooks of St.Charles B.C. of Paincourtville, LA will deliver the message.


Attention Graduates:
High School, Vocational, College and Advanced Degrees, please obtain a form
from the clerk’s office, complete the form and submit it to the Education Committee
for the upcoming Graduate Recognition Service scheduled for June 12, 2011.
Also, give your photo and name to Evangelist Catherine Carter for the bulletin your form
to Sis. Joyce Douglas for the awards program.
